NIH Awards Health & Safety Contract

January 20, 2017

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has again awarded CSS the Industrial Hygiene and Safety Support Services Contract. As the largest biomedical research institution in the world, the NIH has an extensive occupational health and safety program which supports the complex needs of the intramural research program, NIH patients, visitors, staff and contractors. We perform surveillance and monitoring to identify, assess, and control workplace chemical, biological, physical, and ergonomic hazards; ensure the timely evaluation of hazards; and assist NIH in developing programs and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, policies, procedures, and safe work practices. As our Program Manager, Scott Robbins, CIH, CSP, and his team supports the NIH Division of Occupational Health and Safety (DOHS) and must keep up with rapidly increasing and evolving programmatic demands. Congratulations to all of them for this award and thank you for their dedication to NIH's mission.
